Yael Stone, who was born in Australia and living in New York City in 2013 was the character Lorna Mello as the prisoner on Orange Is the New Black. Yael earned a bachelor's degree from NIDA. Yael, despite her young age, has had the chance to study with Australia's most renowned storytellers. Yael's career is rich in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was delighted to find her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, where the show played with critical acclaim, became her new home in New York City. Yael has been a co-founder of The Cannery. It's located within Bushwick Brooklyn and is based out of Brooklyn to encourage innovative creativity, new writing.
